Research Group for Ecosystem Stoichiometry
Our current research mainly involves ecosystem stoichiometry. Basically, we study the stoichiometry and relationships of multiple chemical elements of plants, soil and microbes in terrestrial ecosystems at various scales. While this work is primarily ecological in focus, we are particularly interested in linking the element stoichiometry with ecosystem carbon and nutrient cycling, and community structure and stability. We also explore the mechanisms underlying these processes of the interactions between plant and soil, and microbial regulation under global environmental changes.
