Research Group for Environmental Ecology seeks to understand plant responses and acclimation at levels of leaf, whole plant and/or ecosystems to adverse environmental regimes, particularly acid pollution stress effects and their subsequent metal phytotoxicity. We are also studying the temporal-spacial trends of pollution indicator elements in exposed foliage, sensitive roots, and perennial trees and their root zone, to provide implications for ecosystem health assessment and degraded land rehabilitation.
