Research Group for Global Change and Plant Functional Traits

Plant water relations play an important role in plant growth, development, distribution and evolution as well as the adaptation of plants to ever-changing environmental factors. Combining approaches of plant physiological ecology, biophysics and molecular biology, Research Group for Global Change and Plant Functional Traits is interested in exploring, from the perspective of plant water relations, the physiological/ecological mechanisms underlying subtropical forest species substitution in the process of plant community succession in response to global change.
